This structure (4m x 2.5m) excavated in advance of a proposed development (Licence no. 08E054EXT) was defined by the remains of two dry-stone walls sealed by a large deposit containing a substantial amount of medieval pottery. A small gully was located within the interior. The structure was interpreted as an outbuilding. It was associated with a cluster of stakeholes. Radiocarbon analysis of a naked wheat grain from this feature returned a calibrated date of 1256-1376 AD (Kyle 2011, 49).
