Named on 1837 ed. OS 6-inch map as 'Mables Well'. Located on a NW facing slope above a stream under pasture. this was formerly described as an unenclosed natural spring well rising from behind a boulder (Ó Danachair 1958, 2, 72). It has since been filled in. Not visible on the ground.
