What is recorded here

The Down Survey (1655-6) map shows a dwelling in Whitestown. This was probably located on the site of Whitestown House which was built c. 1780. No visible trace. Compiled by: Geraldine Stout Date of upload: 26 August 2011

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows only the centre of the wider government map area. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
