What is recorded here

The Civil survey (1654-6) mentions 'one farmhouse' at Hayestown in the parish of Balscaddan (Simington 1945, 74). This was probably located at the site later occupied by Winter Lodge S off the main Balbriggan-Naul Road. All buildings at this site have been recently levelled. The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
