The precise location of a barn in townland of Garristown has not been identified. The 1654-56 Civil Survey of Dublin recorded stated that in Garristown on the lands of Mr Laurence Bealing of Bealingstowne, an Irish Papist, there stood; 'one Chaffe house [DU003-011015-] with a barne & Kill house [DU003-011017-] valued by ye Jury at ten pounds' (Simington 1945, 18).
