What is recorded here

Internal diam. 35ft. No trace of this monument survives. Previous surveys indicate that it consisted of a level circular area surrounded by an earthen bank 3ft high with a fosse 8ft wide and 1ft deep interrupted by a 6ft wide causeway which led to an entrance gap in the bank on the E side. It was situated on top of a drumlin called Bregina and may have formed part of a three-earthwork complex along with (DG107-071) and (DG107-070). The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.' Compiled by: Brian Lacey with Eamon Cody, Claire Cotter, Judy Cuppage, Noel Dunne, Vincent Hurley, Celie O'Rahilly, Paul Walsh and Seán Ó Nualláin (Lifford: Donegal County Council, 1983). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated. Date of upload: 22 September 2008
