This slab stands on top of the well-house (DG089-018002-) and is supported in a broken socketed stone (Herity 1995, 98, No. 06b). It is described by Herity (ibid., 98, No. 06a) as a ‘Long, slender slab with spatulate, slightly gabled apex and long tapering 'stem' to butt, 74cm tall, 15cm wide and 5cm in thickness; the slab is oriented 120 degrees (30 degrees south of east) and crosses are cut near the apex on both broad faces. Both crosses are highlighted by the application of red paint.
Face A (north-east): Simple linear cross, 16.5cm tall and 11.3cm across the arms, deeply cut limbs with simple terminals slightly rounded, most marked on head and foot where the channel is broader.
Face B (south-west): Similar simple cross but cut with broader lines, 19cm tall and 12.5cm across the arms.’ (Walsh 1983,61 (A), Fig. 21,a)
