The outline of a rectangular building, 6.2m by 3.lm internally, is discernible in an oval spread of rubble 8m to the north of structure (8) (Walsh 1983, Fig 19, 10); its interior is littered with collapse and the walls are flush with the ground. The nature or purpose of this building is unclear. Herity (1995, 92) suggests that it might be ‘a secular house of late medieval or post-medieval date.’
