A number of finds of extensive areas of midden material have been made in the Naran sand-hills (Knowles, 1901, 343-45; Brunicardi 1914, 196; McGill 1947, 29) Graves or cists with extended corpses have also been reported in this area (Knowles 1901, 343-45; McNulty 1896, 382-3). Scatters of debris comprising of bones, slag, and fire-cracked stones were observed during the course of the survey.
