Although inaccessible for the most part, a 15m stretch of souterrain with drystone walls and a lintel roof can be traced running E-W in a number of surface open-ings. Kinahan (1889, 286) recorded that traces of fires and 'the broken bones of Irish elk' had been found here. The site, which is partly overgrown, is located at the base of a steep SE-facing slope in an area of fair pasture.
