This feature has been listed as a possible 'dolmen' by Borlase (1897). It is a small vaulted masonry structure adjoining the external NE angle of a ruined church. Borlase 1897, 233, Kilmacrenan no. 26; SMR 1987, 45:10; RMP 1995, 45:10. The above description was published in the 'Survey of the Megalithic Tombs of Ireland. Volume VI, County Donegal.'
