In damp, rush-grown pasture, located in a small stream valley, adjacent to the W bank of the stream which flows NE into the Ray River. A roughly D-shaped mound (16m NE−SW; c. 8m NW−SE; H c. 1m at E, 0.3-0.5m at W) truncated on the straight side to SE by a modern field drain on a NE−SW axis. The field drain (Wth 2m; D 0.8-1m) intersects with the stream just beyond the NNE end of the burnt mound. The top of the mound rises to a height of between 1.6m above the base of the field drain. A small eroded portion of the mound at E reveals a concentration of angular, heat-shattered stones in a matrix of charcoal-rich soil. The mound is grass-covered, with small clumps of gorse on the S and E sides.
