What is recorded here

The eastern half of a circular, flat-topped platform 1m in height and c. 20m in diameter survives to indicate this burial ground. The W side has been destroyed by road widening. The edge of the area is revetted by large stones and there is a lot of stone on the platform top. It is located on a slight W to E slope in grazing land. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal. A description of the field antiquities of the County from the Mesolithic Period to the 17th century.' Compiled by: Brian Lacey with Eamon Cody, Claire Cotter, Judy Cuppage, Noel Dunne, Vincent Hurley, Celie O'Rahilly, Paul Walsh and Seán Ó Nualláin (Lifford: Donegal County Council, 1983). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated. Date of upload: 22 September 2008

The official description records surviving remains. Its missing or destroyed wording refers only to one part of this place or to a different nearby feature.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
