Described by Ó Muirgheasa in 1936 as 'There was a Holy Well with a station at the top of the field at the rere of Carrowmore N. School, but it has been closed. The family who did this never prospered afterwards. St. Comgall (4th September) was the patron of the local monastery of Both Conais' (Ó Muirgheasa 1936, 158). (Ó Muirgheasa no. 94)
