In the N half of a pasture field, on elevated ground on the NE edge of Doagh Island. The location has excellent views N and E over Trawbreaga Bay, with the long stretch of Malin peninsula beyond; to W ground rises gradually in a series of small hills and rocky peaks; higher hills and mountainous peaks form a dramatic distant backdrop at SW.
A cupmark (4cm) enclosed by a single ring (diam. 10-11cm) is visible at the NW edge of a flat rock surface (0.4-1m N-S; 1.9m E-W) which is flush with ground level. The ring seems rather crudely defined, and is indistinct on the N arc.
The full extent of the rock panel is unknown as grass encroaches on all sides. A swathe of grass (Wth 0.8-1m) separates it from a larger panel of rock art (DG004-088001-) to S, and it is possible that the two decorated rock surfaces are in fact part of the same seam of bedrock.
