The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of revision: 16 December 2009 Revised by: J. Farrelly According to Comerford 'Protestant church of Leighlin Bridge now stands here, in the outlets of the town on an ancient church site' (1886, vol III, 25). No visible trace of any antiquity. The church is located in the northern portion of the graveyard (CW016-001002-).

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed.
