Granite stone, with almost square cross-section (H 1.8m; girth 2.6m). Small groove on E face. Described by Macalister (1910, 350) as 'a conspicuous standing stone in a field on the right-hand side of the road, and is visible for a long distance. There can be little doubt that it was meant for a landmark of some kind. The stone is about 5 feet 10 inches high; it bears no marks of any kind'.
