What is recorded here

The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Monument No. HM00320/321/322, this monument was entered in the Register of Historic Monuments on the 23 August 1977. Capstone (3.5m x 3.2m x 0.8m) resting on single orthostat (other collapsed) and small flat stone. Small endstone visible. Facing upslope to E, at end rock outcrop. No visible trace of cairn or cover mound (JRSAI 1983, 91)

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
