The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Portion of limestone cross base with now illegible false relief inscription. Style suggests possible early seventeenth-century date. In grounds of Mount St Joseph. According to local report, brought from previously wooded area on estate (JAPMD 1905, 218; photograph in Carloviana 1989/90, 16).
