The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Small mound levelled during land clearance. Possible bullaun stone (CW009-043002-) found at that time now in Knockananna Museum Co. Wicklow. Field known locally as 'Crone Field' and believed to be site of convent associated with St. Croine. See also Kilcroan Church (CW009-034----).

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
