Excavated in advance of construction of the N9/N10 Kilcullen-Waterford Road (Excavation Licence number E2597 'Monitoring Area 7'). A large sub-oval pit (L 2.4m; Wth 1.5m; D 0.4m) containing 80 worked stone artefacts dating to the Neolithic and traces of burnt bone, was uncovered. A second pit (L 1.4m; Wth 0.8m; D 0.1m) which displayed evidence for in situ burning was located 1.2m to the SE. (Doyle 2009, 7-8)
