Brewer (in Beauties of Ireland) stated that there was an abbey at 'Viewmount' and that three of its towers were standing about 1760 (Kelly 1972, 45). This probably refers to St. Kevins Abbey at Chapelstown (CW007-009----).

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
