What is recorded here

Raised circular area (int. diam. c. 48m) enclosed by a largely collapsed drystone wall. Original entrance not recognisable. A rectangular hut site (int. dims. 6m E-W; 5m N-S) enclosed by a low stone wall, accompanied by an L-shaped depression which may represent a souterrain (CCV043-015002-) or possibly a second hut site, occur within the internal area. Traces of an internal dividing wall running N-S are visible at N. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1995). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 22 December 2008
