Roughly circular mound (H 0.45m; dims 12.1m NW-SE; 3.2 NE-SW) composed of earth and small stones. Apparent break in the embankment 3.1m wide at NE. Scattered about the mound are numerous small stones. According to local information the site had been investigated previously and some ashes were uncovered. (Wood-Martin 1886, 197-9; Davies 1942, 20) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1995).
