There is no trace of a structure at the site now. According to the OS Memoirs for County Cavan there was a 'Giant's Grave' 40 feet(c. 12.2m) long and 12 feet (c. 3.65m) wide narrowing to 4 feet (c. 1.2m) here in the 1830s. This may have been a megalithic tomb. (de Valera and Ó Nualláin 1972, 138, No. 10; OS Memoir, Kildrumsherdan parish, County Cavan)
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1995). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
