Raised circular area (int. diam. c. 38m) enclosed by a well-defined earthen bank and a wide, shallow fosse. Narrow break in bank with accompanying wide causeway at NE represents original entrance. From NE-S-W the site is enclosed by modern field boundaries. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cavan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1995).
