Kedge island is a small uninhabited island with high cliffs, c. 3km to the SE of Baltimore. According to local information, there is an old church on the island and a 'room' built into the rock-face. For safety reasons it was not possible to attempt a landing on the island. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
