In pasture, on gentle E-facing slope. Circular area (diam. 38m N-S) defined by earthen bank (int. H 0.5m) S->NE with remains of stone wall on top; external fosse (D 1.6m) SW-NW. Tower house and corner tower (CO149-002---) built on line of bank to NW and S respectively; laneway running NNW-SSE truncates bank to NE; farm building in SE quadrant. Low natural scarp running N-S crosses W half of interior. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
