Late 19th century square tower (2.6m N-S; 2.6m E-W; wall thickness 0.6m; H c. 9m) on rock outcrop overlooking Crookhaven to S. Three-storey; 1st floor door in N wall, approached by stone stairs. Hood mouldings over 2nd floor windows in E and S wall. Embattled parapet walls. Similar tower (CO147-056---) visible to SW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992).
