Square tower in S wall of walled garden of Castle Downeen (CO143-067---) with commanding view of coast to S. Embattled two-storey structure, pointed door and window opes. String course below embattled parapet; external walls originally weatherslated. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
