On level patch on S-facing slope, 1.5m N of Rosscarbery Bay. Cover-stone (2.9m x 2.4m; T 1.1m) rests on three low boulders, two of which are of quartz; seven cup-marks on upper surface. Excavated in 1957 (Fahy 1961, 93-104) together with multiple-stone circle (CO143-032001-) c. 18m to W and hut site (CO143-032004-). Stone overlying socket at W edge of cover-stone was considered to have been uprooted from it; interpreted as fixed closing-slab which blocked formal entrance. Fragments of cremated bone recovered from shallow pit beneath cover-stone . (O Nualláin 1978, 95, no. 33)
