In level area of pasture, on S-facing slope. Excavated in 1959 (Fahy 1961, 95); c. 10m SE of multiple stone circle (CO143-032001-); boulder burial (CO143-032003-) and hut site (C0143-032004-) also nearby to NE and SW. Slab (H c. 2m; c. 1.2m x c. 0.1m) with 7 cup-marks on its upper surface was found beneath a low mound. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 14 January 2009
