What is recorded here

In pasture, on break in N-facing slope. Circular raised area (21m N-S; 23m E-W) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.8m), with external fosse (D 0.5m) SSW->NW. Bank highest SW->N where upper portion stone faced to outside; stone wall atop low bank NE->ESE. Cultivation ridges cross interior. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992).
