What is recorded here

This monument constitutes the site of a cross-slab; the precise location of this site is unknown. The only information regarding its provenance is that it was found in 1991 on the seashore in the townland of Laheratanvally, c. 8km W of Skibbereen. The slab (CO074-165----) is in Cork Public Museum. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). Date of upload: 22 December 2009

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.

The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
