On crest of ridge c. 3km S of Ballydehob. Indicated on OS 6-inch map (1842) as 'Cappagh Mine'. Remains consist of central, free standing chimney (H c. 12m; circ. c. 9.8m), upper courses of brick; two early 19th century 2-storey dwellings; remains of late 19th century 2-storey terraced dwellings. Road from mine passes magazine (CO140-053---), to Audley Cove to SE.
