In rough grazing, on steep N-facing slope. Sub-circular area (32m N-S; 26m E-W) enclosed by double bank with intervening fosse ESE->NNW; double scarp with intervening terrace NNW->ESE, upper scarp (H 0.8m), lower scarp (H 1.6m). Inner bank (int. H 0.55m) of stone; grass covered; numerous cattle gaps. Outer bank (H 1.2m) earthen; incorporated into roadside fence SSE->SSW. Faint trace of cultivation ridges in interior. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992).
