In rough pasture, on the crest of an E-W rocky ridge with extensive views S to the Fastnet Rock and N to Dunmanus Bay. A roughly circular cairn (1.45m N-S; 1.3m E-W; H 0.6m), cone-shaped in elevation, is built on bedrock and contains of a mixture of medium-sized stones. Some of the cairn has been rebuilt or added to in more recent times. According to local information, this cairn has been in existence as long as older people can remember. This information, together with its location and the rounded weather-beaten nature of many of the stones, suggests that this is an ancient cairn.
