Located 4.6m S of mine (CO139-057---); infilled working driven 257° into N-facing rock scarp. Waterlogged peaty infill; large slab cleaved off scarpface obstructs entrance; footwall not exposed. Accessible length: c. 3.9m; entrance (Wth 4.4m; H 0.5m), interior (Wth 2.3m; H 0.6m). No spoil sediment outside this working; rock extract was probably taken down-slope to mine (CO139-048---; CO139-049---) dumps. (O'Brien 1987: mine 14)
