What is recorded here

In pasture on N-facing slope. It was described in the OS Name Book (Parish of Skull, no. 2) as 'A fort which was an old burying ground but at present used only for children.' (SMR file). It consists of a raised sub-rectangular area (H 0.9m; 17.2m E-W; 16.3m N-S) with many grave markers. One grave on the N side consists of a rectangular bed of stone slabs (L 2m; Wth 1m) with a headstone at the W end and two footstones marking the E.
