What is recorded here

On a S-facing slope, overgrown with briars and gorse bushes. According to local information, an irregular area (c. 25m NE-SW; c. 20m NW-SE), is known locally as the 'keel' and it was used as a burial ground. Some loose stones were noted on the surface, but any further examination was impossible due to the dense overgrowth. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). Date of upload: 22 December 2009

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
