Set back of street line on McCurtain Hill, Clonakilty. Early 18th century Market House probably on site of earlier one dating to mid 17th century (Tuipéar 1988, 31-32). In use as town hall up to 1953; now a store. Rectangular two-storey structure with modern roof; 4-bay with 2-bay central breakfront; originally pedimented which was removed during alterations in 1953. Four-bay arcading at ground level. Extensions at rear.
