In SW quadrant Lisnagun ringfort (CO135-031001-). Local tradition and hollow indicated position prior to excavation. Excavation (1987/88) revealed three earth-cut chambers (Wth c. 1.5m; H c. 1m) joined by creepways; ceilings barrel-vaulted. Two entrances and air vent (pers. comm. J. O'Sullivan). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992).
