This Roman Catholic church is referred to in the 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork - vol. 1 West Cork' (1992, 298) under the entry (no. 2820) for a graveyard (CO133-010001-). The R.C. church is referred to as follows: According to local information the chapel indicated R.C. chapel (in ruins) (CO133-010002-) on OS 6-inch map 1902 survives in interior. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992).
