What is recorded here

Horseshoe-shaped mound (13.7m E-W; 13.5m N-S; H 1.18m), with central depression, indicating position of trough. Opening to N (Wth 2.9m) partially closed by stone kerbing consisting of four stones set on end (max. H 0.5m). Pile of medium-sized stones lie inside the kerb. In reclaimed pasture with stream to E. Second fulacht fiadh (CO132-001001-)11m to N. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992).
