Substantial ruined 4-storey structure (3m E-W; 5.6m N-S) on S bank of Four Mile Water at head of Dunmanus bay. Rectangular in plan, built in 3 phases; rock cut lane along S wall. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992).
