In rough grazing, on bog on a break on the S-facing slopes of Bere Island with a view across the mouth of Bantry Bay as far as Mizen Head. This standing stone (0.55m x 0.2m; H 1.3m) is rectangular in plan and is orientated NNW-SSE. The stone leans to the E and its upper half narrows towards the top. A hut site (CO128-043001-) is situated 1m to the N.
