On the N face of an eroding bank, at the top of a shingle strand and beside the car park to the W of O'Sullivan Bere's castle (CO128-001002-) at Dunboy. The exposed face of the earthen bank (L c. 4m; H 0.75m) displays a base layer (H 0.15m) containing scallop, limpet and periwinkle shells with burnt stone inclusions. As the bank is collapsing due to erosion by the sea, many more shells are probably hidden under the collapsed material and are gradually being washed away by the sea. Above the layer of shells are layers of black soil (H 0.1m), stiff whitish soil (H 0.05m) and a layer of brownish soil (H 0.25m) with burnt stone inclusions. A sea wall (CO128-024002-) is 4m to the N.
