In a level pasture field, on a terrace on a S-facing slope overlooking Blackball Head to the SW. This standing stone (0.72m x 0.5m; H 0.95m) is roughly rectangular in plan and is orientated N-S. The upper half of the stone narrows gradually to the top. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009).
