What is recorded here

On an overgrown eroding promontory, with high cliffs on three sides, which juts NE into Ballydonegan Bay. The promontory (c. 25m NE-SW; c. 10m NW-SE) is the site of a 'cillíneach' or children's burial ground and some plain uninscribed stone grave-markers were noted. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 5' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2009). Date of upload: 22 December 2009
