In pasture, on a S-facing slope overlooking the mouth of Bantry Bay. A circular area (diam. 20m NW-SE) is enclosed by a scarp (Wth 0.8m; H 0.6m) SE-SW and by intermittent traces of a low earthen bank (Wth 3.8m; int. H 0.2m; ext. H 0.35m) SW-NW. From NW-NE the rath has been cut into the upslope (D 0.1-0.25m) and from NE-SE it is truncated by a stone field boundary. The interior, in pasture, slopes gently down to the S. The field is known as 'Gort a' Leasa'. An anomalous stone group (CO127-042----) is located c. 50m to the SSW.
